How to get the most out of a videowall| 16th July 2014
When you need to share feedback and input you have captured from others, you can put together a report, use some graphs or write a few pages of text. But is that really the best way to engage people? We already know that video strengthens internal and corporate communications, creates better engagement, improves insights and provides powerful knowledge sharing. With the Miituu Videowall you can to get the most out of the responses you have captured. Here are just some of the ways you can use a video wall.
Build knowledge hubs
A video wall is an excellent platform to share views, knowledge and interact with others - regardless of location or time zone. Using a video wall as a knowledge hub where colleagues can share tips, ideas and best practices not only helps people learn and get better at their jobs, it also strengthens company culture by creating a community environment that employees can engage with eachother. As well as promoting learning, this supports cross team collaboration and strengthens work relationships, because you see the people you learn from.
Capture input before and after an event
If you are running an event you might want to gather questions for a panel in advance, and what better way than to use video, which can then be posted on a video wall? Or you can use Miituu to capture feedback at an event, and share it with other attendees. At an important conference about patient centred cancer care, the LIVESTRONG foundation implemented their Miituu video wall to show vital input they captured at the event. This helped spark discussions about how to improve patient centred cancer care. You can view their video wall here.
Display survey responses
In traditional market research and surveys, there are only so many ways you can display results based on textual input. Using video questionnaires broadens the array of responses, and allows you to capture the emotions and body language of the participants. What better way to display your captured data than to display it in an interactive video wall? You can organise the views based on answers to key questions, and gives an in-depth understanding of people’s responses. You can view an example of this on our Miituu Referendum Video Wall here.
Create an ideas repository
Video walls also provide a much more efficient platform to share stories and experiences than text based platforms. Capturing video content enables viewers to pick up body language and emotional cues; and when it comes to sharing ideas, there is a lot involved in the presentation. Video allows a much better understanding of the respondents views. Maybe the next big idea for your organisation will come from a team member or user sharing their thoughts on a video wall?
Understand teams better
The ability to voice your opinion is important within any organisation. Being listened to increases employee engagement and boosts employee morale within the workplace. HR teams and internal communications professionals can use video walls to help capture experiences from new starts, or reactions to reorganisation - for instance. Senior management can ask questions and get feedback from team members all over the world. Because video responses capture emotions and feelings as well as views and opinions, they allow you to better understand what people are actually thinking about a change, a new challenge or just a new idea. Using a private video wall to share employees views and feedback internally in an organisation opens up a channel where people can actively engage, regardless of location, position or other factors.
