IoIC Judging Experience| 29th April 2016
The annual IOIC Awards celebrate and recognise the best in Scottish communications industry. Award categories range from Best Annual Report to Best Use of Social Media and Best Ezine to Best Rebrand.
The 2016 award ceremony on Friday 4th March was a glamorous black tie affair at the Grand Central hotel in Glasgow. Shortlisted entrants included larger brands such as Heineken, RBS, Clydesdale Bank, Scottish Government, Historic Environment Scotland, Weir Group, NHS Scotland as well as many exciting smaller organisations and agencies whose entries demonstrated some very creative and compelling results and achievements.
How was Miituu Involved?
Miituu had previously won an IoIC Award in 2015 for “Most Innovative Communication”, and Mark Magnante was subsequently invited to join the IOIC Scotland Committee. Committee responsibilities included the honour of being a member of the 2016 judging panel. The position was doubly sweet given the application entries and results testimonial content was managed through the Miituu system. Applicants submitted their entries via a Miituu managed IOIC competition portal which included a variety of supporting documents, photographs and videos. This content was rapidly circulated to the judges and allowed much deeper appreciation of the impact and results achieved by the applicants, really bringing the projects to life.
Using Miituu in this way proved a roaring success, with many high-profile applicants enjoying how simple and effective the system was to use. Gavin Simpson, Internal Communications Director at ScottishPower said: “I thought the IOIC upload interface was excellent, very easy to use and my guys here were well impressed with the process.” High praise, indeed!
